This Independence Day, the Thrifty family began the celebration early with 55,000 of our closest friends.
Ok, maybe they weren’t really our friends but we had a really great time as we celebrated family, tradition, friendship, fitness and funny costumes.

We were lucky enough to have the some of the best seats in the house because we were part of the McDonald’s VIP skybox thanks to getting the word out about McDonald’s new smoothies on Twitter.

Turns out that a couple of other readers also made it to the big event where we were treated like ROYALTY.

The smoothies flowed not just to those of us lucky enough to win this special prize but to many of the runners who truly appreciated a cool Real Fruit Smoothie that can be customized with or without low-fat yogurt.

Each of the winners was given a YEAR’s supply of FREE Smoothies and I want to share some of my smoothies with you.
The coupons are only valid in the Greater Atlanta area, but if you are one of the first two readers to write a comment below, I will send you FOUR coupons each valid for a FREE McDonald’s smoothie. Just tell me if you’d rather try the Wild Berry Smoothie or the Strawberry Banana smoothie.
That’s it! Since they are in my hot little hands I can mail them out ASAP so you can get your smoothie on.
In keeping with FCC rules I want to let you know that I received no compensation for this post but I did receive coupons for FREE smoothies and I had a great time handing them out to various people in Hot-lanta yesterday. The opinions expressed in this post are my own.
