In case you haven’t stopped by any stores lately, you might not realize that you should start thinking about the holidays now. Personally, I think about Christmas all year long. It’s a great holiday and I shop for it all year long.
Earlier this year, I posted a thread about their Share to Care Program. I was very impressed with their which donated 30 percent of all proceeds from the sales of select photo books, calendars, notebooks, notepads and stickers to BreastCancer.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the most up-to-date, reliable, medically-reviewed information on breast health and breast cancer. I wrote the people at Snapfish and told them just how impressed I was and how much I loved their site. They wrote me back and offered to let me create my own desktop calendar so I could write a product review and allow one of my readers to WIN a desktop calendar.
If you have been a follower of my site for awhile, then you know how much I love taking photos and receiving them as gifts from friends and families. Snapfish makes giving unique photo gifts both easy and inexpensive. As a grandparent I can personally verify that receiving photobooks, t-shirts, cards, posters, blankets, and more featuring the World’s Cutest Grandkids, Trent, Jake, and Lily.
I decided to create my desktop calendar under the theme of “A Year of Living Thrifty”. In it I uploaded fun and inexpensive things we have done as a family.
Snapfish’s new desktop calendars capture your favorite photos from the year, while keeping track of important holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Display memories with a special photo caption on your
desk at work, home or while traveling – you can even pick the starting month! Choose from 12 or 18 month calendars. Available for $14.99. Best of all Snapfish provides their users with a 110% satisfaction guarantee!
They are also easy to make. Begin by registering for a Snapfish account, include your e-mail address; you will receive often receive coupons for free prints and discount offers. Then upload the photos you plan to use. There are a variety of style templates and 3 calendar sizes from which to choose. Review your choices.
Once you have selected the calendar size, number of months (12 or 18), starting month, and style, click “create calendar.” Now you can begin to add photos and caption text by clicking “get photos” and selecting the appropriate album.
You can choose to have 1-3 photos on each month’s top page. Experiment, rearrange photos, styles, and text until you are satisfied. Save and save often. Preview your calendar (you can also zoom in/enlarge the photos and text by sliding the image bar at the bottom of the screen to the right (towards the larger picture size) and check for spelling mistakes.
So how did I like the calendar I ordered? LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may have titled my calendar “A Year Of Living Thrifty” but really I should have called it was “A Year In Living Color.” Everything went off without a hitch. I was easy to make and I received notice about the progress of my order throughout the process.
