This year we resolved to have a more Christ centered Christmas by focusing on Christ-like services to prepare our hearts for the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Reflecting on the healing work of Jesus in our lives, we are led not only to deepened understanding, but also brings us closer to Jesus.
Today’s challenge is to do something to help the sick. You can do that in a variety of ways like becoming an organ donor because you can save lives! Did you know that a single organ donor has the potential to save up to 8 lives.
Would you be shocked to find out an average of 18 people die every day due to the shortage of available organ donors?
There are more than 120,000 Americans awaiting their organ transplants, while millions of people die each year without signing up as organ and tissue donors. Sadly, an additional person shows up on the organ transplant list every 10 minutes.
Becoming an organ donor is easy as One-Two-Three.
* Register with your state’s Organ Donor Registry.
* Select ‘Yes’ to organ donation when you apply for your driver’s license.
* Sign a donor card, if available.
